Even if you think you do not know what lanyards are, chances are high that you have essentially seen them all over the place but just failed to know what to call them.  A lanyard is a wire or strap regularly worn round the neck that is used to carry necessary items like ID badges, glasses, pens, cell telephones and keys while keeping the hands free.  They are also often worn round the wrist, arm or waist.  Beaded lanyards are particularly popular because of their fun and whimsical designs.

A lanyard can be made of many alternative materials, including twine, cotton, nylon or polyester twill.  The majority like the cord because it’s the least costly, while the strap type made of cotton, poly-twill or nylon is preferred for large corporations because it can be embellished with a company name or emblem.  This is also common for sport groups or other sorts of groups.  In office environments {, however ,} there’s nothing like a beaded lanyard that looks more like jewelry than a necessary piece of office flare.  Colorful, superbly crafted beaded lanyards are perfect badge holders and eyeglass holders.
