Brought to you by unique princess cut diamond rings.
There are not many types of cuts that are popular choices for engagement rings, but there are many, many choices available for each type of popular cut.
When choosing an engagement ring, if you think of such qualities as the safety of the setting, whether it will be stable when worn under daily conditions of work and play, often you will choose a simple stone or at most a ring with minor chips as embellishment for the central stone. Our setting are completely secure, regardless of how simple or ornate of a setting you wish for your dream design. Rest assured, even in a simple setting we have safely secured your stone to safeguard against accidents.
The round cut stone has always been one of the most popular through the times. As it sounds, a round cut diamond is said to be the brightest cut, have the most fire and takes advantage of all of the facets on the diamond. Surrounding cuts in what are often called “Tiffany settings” or raised prong settings, are the characteristic idea of an appointment ring: a lone stone balanced just higher than the band of the loop with most experience of the sandstone to beam. A tiffany setting is ideal for a good round stone. A muddy and small stone has nowhere to hide, you know.
Another very popular cut is the emerald cut, so named for the stone which is often cut into long, faceted rectangles as well. Not as ostentatious as the round cut, the emerald cut can carry a very large stone, show it to its advantage, yet appear quite traditionally formal. A Princess cut stone, with its four-square look, reminds us of stability and security. If mounted correctly these linear cuts can be very safe because of prongs on the corners and protecting the side.
Cushion cut diamonds have the shine and beauty of round cut diamonds but also the grace of linear cuts, making them very diverse. Stones that are said to be cushion cut are stones with a rounded edge and are square or a rectangle with curved sides and the corners also rounded off.
The uneven balance of the form is difficult to use in a stable and simple setting, but a pear cut, or tear drop diamonds are much beautiful. A solitaire needs to be set carefully so that it does not look crooked or out of balance. You can keep these stones for earrings, necklaces or rings of a special nature and not for the wedding band.
The Marquise style, looks like an elongated eye-shaped cut slightly oval but with points at either end, is generally used in settings that have multiple stones. Choosing a central Marquise flanked by triangular trillion cut stones produces a stunning, more elaborate design.
Despite other options, diamonds remain the preferred standby because of their inherent perfection. With a sense of these diamond cuts you have a foundation of a most classical design of your ring.
